Recruiting Report: Beau Archer (2018)
Beau Archer is a 6’2 Combo Guard in the 2018 Class from Moore High School. During the summer Archer played his summer grassroots ball for the Game Changers.
Archer is a good shooter with the ability to create his own shots. He can get into the lane off of the dribble or he can pull up and hit an open shot. He also has great court vision which helps him get his teammates open shots.
Archer is working on becoming a better all sound rebounder. He wants to be able to crash the boards and be a solid rebounder for his team.
Archer has experience on the court. He has played against some of the best players to come out of the state and leans on that experience to help him this season.
“Trae Young is without a doubt the hardest player I’ve ever had to guard,” said Archer.
Archer is looking forward to this season with great expectations. Above anyone on the schedule though, he would like to beat both of his cross-town rivals, Westmoore and Southmoore. During this season he wants to be the best leader possible he can be to make his team better. He wants to play in a way that makes his team better. Moore is hoping to make it to state this year.
After High School, Archer wants to be able to chase his dream of playing in college. He wants to attend a school with an aesthetically pleasing campus with a great basketball environment. He wants to find a school that plays well together. Most of all a college program that wins a lot of games.
Archer currently has a 3.0 GPA and holds offers from McPherson College (KS) and Saint Mary (KS). He would also like to pursue a career in the medical field which should factor into where he chooses to play ball.
Archer looks to have a great senior season for Moore and will hope to reach a state tournament in his final year. He will be a player to keep an eye on throughout the year as he appears set to have a good year for Moore. In his opening game of the season, Archer led Moore to victory over Yukon tallying 22 points.
