Recruiting Report: Art Palacios (2018)
As he heads into his senior season with Sunnyside, 5-foot-9 point guard Art Palacios remains one of the state’s best available prospects.
Washington’s 62nd-ranked 2018, Palacios has some interest coming his way, especially after a strong 17U season with Washington Elite. But still is without an offer.
A slick ball-handler who can both get to the hoop and create for others adeptly, Palacios mentioned he’s now working to perfect his jumper, and his frame.
This past spring and summer with Washington Elite 17U, Palacios played very well, and even exceeded his expectations of himself at times.
“This summer went pretty good. When we went to Vegas and California, there was a lot of coaches and it was crazy,” he said. “And I thought I did better than I would of.”
Now, as he heads into his senior season with the Grizzlies, Palacios will take on a similar role: team leader.
“My role has been the same since my freshman year,” he said. “I’ll just need to have control of the team, make sure all the guys on the team know what they’re supposed to do, and make sure that we’re all on the same page.”
