Prospect Spotlight: Taheem Jones (2018)
Renton’s point guard Taheem Jones is ready to improve his game this summer.
Jones is under the radar, but has the skills to compete with the best. He is a streaky shooter, who can really get it going with his smooth jump shot. He also has the ability to create off the dribble and set his teammates up to score easy buckets.
“My strength on the floor is my ability to shoot off the dribble and creating shots for my teammates” said Jones.
Jones intends to to put in some major work this off season and improve in all areas to comeback to Renton for his final season next year and make some noise.
“This summer I plan on putting in some major work. I want to improve my ball handling and do a better job making shots consistently. I also want to improve my basketball IQ.”
This will be a big summer for Jones as he enters his final summer AAU circuit. This will be his final chance to gain college looks off of AAU.
“I’ll be playing with Prospects this summer. We are going on a few trips, so I should gain more exposure. Right now I’m receiving interest from Chapman and Montana University.”
Be on the look out for Jones this summer as he works to put his name on the map.
