Prospect Spotlight: Shamoi Clemmence (2018)
Lengthy 6’6″, 174-pound forward Shamoi Clemmence is prepping for his senior season at Agape Christian.
The 2018 prospect averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds per game as a junior for Agape Christian in Class 2A. He put up a career-best 26 points along with 10 rebounds in a win over Orangewood Christian a year ago.
“My past season was great. I felt like I could’ve done a lot more to take my team to states,” Clemmence told Prep Hoops Florida. “I learned how to become a better leader, as well as maintaining pressure very well. My shooting grew the most, I learned how to score with fewer dribbles, as well as improving my court vision.”
He says he envisions a role as a core leader and a player that the Saints can count on for a guaranteed bucket.
Clemmence played with the AAU program called the Florida Tar Heels since 7th grade. The group changed its name to Heart and Hustle this past season. He called the summer with them very good.
In terms of his biggest strengths, he pointed to his shooting. He’s aiming to improve his overall defense.
No offers have come yet for Clemmence but with his length and ability to strike from outside, he should lead this Agape Christian group. Basketball all started for him at age 10 and now he’s looking to find an opportunity at the next level showcasing his game this fall.
