Prospect Spotlight: Deray Seamster(2020)
DeRay Seamster is a crafty guard out of Central Catholic high school . He works hard in the classroom and on the court. Standing at 6 feet tall he can do it all. He can break his defenders down and get to the rim, hit the three, and lock opponents up, down on the other end. Seamster is known for his scoring and great court vision. Getting decent minutes as a freshmen, as a sophomore he is going to make a huge impact. Taking on a bigger role this year , he says that “the Rams will make the Chile’s center this season”.
Seamster played AAU ball with 24 15u in the EYBL averaging 14 points 5 assists and 4 rebounds a game against some of the top competition in the country. During the off-season DeRay works out with his trainer/ mentor Jasse Chimiku . Jasse says that “DeRay has put in the work to become one of the best guards in the state”.
Jasse has been training DSeamster ever since 5th grade and taught him all that he knows. He helped mold DeRay into one of the best guards in the 2020 class. “He is a special players and coaches need to be on the watch.”
Deray Seamster is a young talented sophomore with a bright future ahead of him if he continues to progress and get better.
