Prospect Spotlight: CJ Carpenter (2018)
2018 guard CJ Carpenter is a key piece for Deerfield Beach.
The 5’11” senior has no offers or interest right now, but he is crucial to the Bucks success.
“This past season I learned how to be a true point guard and a good defender,” Carpenter told Prep Hoops Florida. “My role for next season is to be a general on the court to be able to control my team and the game.”
He spent this summer working out with his teammates and coaches at Deerfield. He aimed to get stronger and improve his shooting.
Carpenter started playing basketball at age 6 with his older brother. He called his biggest strength his passing, vision and defense.
The Bucks went 21-9 in Class 9A ball last season. Carpenter is in for an increased role after averaging 5.4 points and 3.0 assists as a junior. Pay attention to Carpenter this season down south.
