Prospect Spotlight: Aaron Lewis (2020)
Aaron Lewis, a class of 2020 forward at Bishop Ireton, is one of two Mid Atlantic Select standouts who could make a significant impact for the Cardinals this season. The 6-foot-5 sophomore, who is expected to anchor the defense for Head Coach Neil Berkman, brings a unique dimension to the front court.
“I would say that I’m a good defensvie player, but I need to work a little more on my offense,” Lewis said of his overall game. “The most improved part is probably post game. Just inside moves and things.”
Mid Atlantic Select played a competitive schedule this summer, and Lewis reflected on some of the lessons he learned while on the circuit.
“The biggest thing I learned over the summer is how to keep my composure, and how to talk on the floor,” he stated. “I need to work on being more explosive, and being more well rounded offensively.”
Lewis mentioned that his goal for the season is just to get better, and just to improve overall. There is no question that this will be a difficult test for him in what many consider the toughest high school hoops conference in the country, but he will surely benefit in the long run.
