Post Game Interview: Todd Burtt, Aaron Cash and Ta’Lon Cooper
Q: You guys got a good win against a solid Northwood Temple squad, what something you can learn from this game?
Ta’Lon: Just to keep pushing and do what we do and play how we play every night by pushing the ball.
Todd: Just play together as a team, lock up on defense and play every game like how we did tonight.
Aaron: Right now we are a young team so just building more chemistry and just keep playing together, there are only two seniors on the squad. We know we are going to be a great team.
Q: Goals For the season?
Ta’Lon: Just to keep winning and not lose too many games, see where we go from there and get to nationals.
Todd: To win all the upcoming games, we lost some tough games in the beginning of the season.
Aaron: To play and beat every tough team that we match up with, I’m trying to beat everybody.
Q: Do you feel like that games against Oak Hill and Huntington Prep at The Hoops & Dreams Showcase helped you all as a team?
Ta’Lon: Yes it helped, we were still getting to play alongside each other and getting our team chemistry right, but now I think we are going to be fine.
Todd: Yes we are going to be good, we played two of the top teams in the country so we are going to be good.
Aaron: We are just a young team, we are going to be good though.
Is there any pressure being at a program like Word of God since it’s such as well-known program?
Ta’Lon: I don’t pay attention to it, I just came here to play so I just play.
Todd: Of course because John Wall went here and all that but we just have to play together and do what we do.
Aaron: I feel like we have a new system, we have a Coach that knows a lot about John Wall but I feel like in his system we can show who we really are.
