Wise Pumas. 12650 Brooke Lane, Upper Marlboro, MD. 20772. Head Coach : Rob Garner
Last the Pumas fished 21-1 losing their final game of the season in a upset loss to Quince Orchard in the MD 4A semifinals. Wise lost D1 starters Michael Speight (Waterbury Prep, CT) Darron Barnes (Navarro Junior College) PG Brent Ingram (Wheeling Jesuit) & Brandon Howell to Hood College. Despite losing all the firepower Wise will be a force in PG 4A & a top tier team. 6’8″ Terrance Gibbons is the lone starter, but the Pumas add key newcomers, 5’11” 2018 PG Sherwyn Devonish & 6’1″ CG Fred Crowell. All 3 go to players are in PG 4A top 25. The Raiders do not have much size, but Miles Allen, 6”6″, C, 2018 shows potential.

Bowie Bulldogs. 15200 Annapolis Road. Bowie, MD. Head Coach : Tremaine Price
Head Coach Tremaine Price is in his 1st year as the Bulldogs Head Coach after transferring from nearby Parkdale. Bowie has an excellent backcourt trio in 6’0″ 2018 PG Isisah Burke, 6’1″ 2020 CG Kyrie Freeman-Davis & 6’1″ 2019 WG Jordan Harris. We know Isiah & Kyree are locks for the top 25 players, but we only saw Jordan play one game this fall where he was very impressive. We believe he is a top 25 caliber player but will get a better look this December. Abdul Rasheed Idowu is a very promising 2019 Big who can run the floor. Other key players for the Bulldogs are Bemi Joseph, Jacob Walker & Nigel Santacruz.
Bladensburg Mustangs. 4200 57th Avenue, Bladensburg, MD. 20710. Head Coach: Antonio Williams
6’7″ multi-position senior Daniel Oladapo is our preseason Player of the Year & while he is currently a D1 mid major could move higher. Tyriq McAdoo, 6’5″, PG, 2018 could be a breakout player this season & we place Tyriq in put top 25 preseason team. Tyshawn Walker, 6’0″, CG, 2018 & Alonzo Taylor, PG, 2018 are the other key Mustang players. Bladensburg is a PG 4A contender, but we want to get a better look at the Mustangs early on this season.

PLAYER of the YEAR : Daniel Oladapo
Daniel Oladapo 6’7″ Wing, 2018. Bladensburg Mustangs
Daniel is one of the most versatile players in the DMV & can play 4 positions at the high school level. When we scouted him at the DMV Elite Daniel was in fact elite in is his conditioning & play. Last season Daniel was awarded to our All DMV I-495 Team which is our version of an All Met Team for the DC/DMV. This season he will be asked to carry the load for the Mustangs & will enter 2017/18 with a bulls eye on the back. The key to defeating Bladensburg will be stopping Daniel. He could see zone defenses & or gimmick schemes to stop him. He currently holds D1 offers from Canisius, High Point, Howard & Towson State. Daniel does everything well on the court, but if he translates to a WG in college his handle needs some work. With his work ethic, skill level, athleticism & dedication Daniel could get there. This season we expect his offers to climb & we will following the Daniel & the Mustangs very closely.

Next Top 12 players in Prince Georges County 4A
Juston Bailey, 6’3.5″, W, 2018. Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders
This summer Juston played very well & proved he is a scholarship player. He is a very athletic wing who can score from all 3 levels & defend well. While he may the 4th option for possibly the best team in PG 4A, it will be critical for Juston to play at a high level, especially against the top tier schools since ER lacks height. This season will a big one for Juston to determine his college level. We believe he is poised for breakout year for the Raiders who could find there back to the University of MD for the MD 4A semis.

Cameron Brown, 6’5″, CG 2019. Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders
Cameron is very powerful & has grown to over 6’5″. He can play 1 thru 4 for ER this season & which position he plays will be contingent on 6’6″ senior PF/C Miles Allen level on play. We are very familiar with Cameron playing on the perimeter where shows he can score very well from all 3 levels & fish strong & power up a the rim. He already holds an offer from D1 High Point U & his offer list will soon grow. Cameron is very fundamentally sound & plays with a very high IQ & motor. His athleticism has improved & while it is solid, we believe it will continue to grow. Cameron knows how to use height & wingspan over smaller guards & is too quick for the bigs. We rate Cameron @ # 15 in our 2019 rankings he could move up by mid season. We will be covering Cameron & ER in great detail this season.
