Palmetto State: Legacy Early College vs Liberty Heights
The final game of the night featured the host Lions vs Liberty Heights at the Pete Hollis Classic in Greenville, SC.
Legacy Early College is not short on talent especially in the back court this season. Liberty Heights based out of Charlotte, NC has no shortage of talent and are led by East Carolina signee Michael Wynn.
Wynn was really caught in check tonight by the Lions defense. Wynn finished with just 10 points. Unsigned senior guard Chris Martin led Liberty Heights with 34 points in the 85-73 loss to conclude the 2 day Pete Hollis Classic. Martin scored the ball from all 3 levels while just bringing great energy and effort to the game.
Daymaun Osbourne–Harvey (2018) 6’6 chipped in 12 points in the defeat. Harvey attended Queen Grant HS last season.
Martin played with Team Charlotte this summer after attending Charlotte United Christian last season. Martin loves the ball in his hands and plays with a fearless mind set.
The host Lions were led in scoring by undersized post player Donta King (2019) with 23 points. King was a mismatch in the paint all night for the Liberty Heights finishing around the cup.
Dontrell Shuler (2018) added 18 points, Wake Forest signee Sharone Wright Jr. added 12 points and CJ Jamison chipped in 10 points.
The Lions have so much talent in the back court and that’s not even including Maliek Wilcox and Raymond Williams. Wilcox finished the night with 5 points.
Chase Claxton (2019) added 6 points and sophomore CJ Plantin added 4 points.
Legacy Early College jumped out to a 22-7 lead and Liberty Heights closed the halftime deficit to 37-33 while going on a 26-15 run the last 9:47.
