Hoops & Dreams Showcase Recap: 2018’s Part 2
Northwood Temple 2018 Forward Ian Steere: He tall, physical , strong and athletic, even though he is still raw somewhat offensively he has some of the tools that coaches at the next level like from a prospect perspective. He can physically match up with just about any big, now the next step is continuing to work skillset wise.
Bull City Prep 2018 Forward Spencer Roberts: He’s 6’9 with a very solid physique, once he gets a rebound or gets the ball in the paint, it’s pretty much a done deal.
Bull City Prep 2018 Wing Sameko Cele: Very athletic player who reminds you a lot of a running back on the football field. He can make plays above the rim offensively and on the defensive end of the floor, he has a strong upper body and does a great job of embracing contact.
Bull City Prep 2018 Wing David Wingett: He has a natural feel for the game, he finished with 18 Points, 6 Rebounds and 3 Assists in their matchup vs Freedom Christian. He knocked down the midrange shot at a nice rate and with the mixture of his height at 6’7 and skillset, he is a player that college will love.
Word of God Christian 2018 Forward Aaron Cash: Aaron was undersized in their matchups through the weekend, however he used his athleticism and high motor to make up for the disadvantage, and he blocked shots, rebounded well and attacked the basket to finish over opponents.
Mount Zion Prep Forward/Center Juilian Savoury: Was a rim protector inside on the defensive end, as well as pulling down a high amount of rebounds. Offensively he showed his skillset, going for 19 points, nice athletic ability, solid overall looking prospect.
Mount Zion Prep Guard Terique Brown: He was easily one of the best shooters in the building, once he caught fire from deep, it was pretty much a done deal for the defense.
