Elite 14 Showcase Preview: OKC Storm
The OKC Storm is a powerhouse in homeschool basketball winning national championship after national championship. They enter the year ready to make noise again. The OKC Storm will start at the Elite 14 Showcase this weekend in Wichita Falls, Texas. Prep Hoops gives the player to watch, what to watch, the head coaches thoughts and matchups with game times.
Player to Watch
Nate Pendarvis 2018 6’2 OKC Storm Point Guard
Pendarvis is an extremely athletic Point Guard with great upside. He might be best suited to go to a JUCO work on his skill set and develop over the two-year stretch. Pendarvis is elite at getting to the rim and finishing. The biggest question heading into this season surrounding Pendarvis is his jumper. If Pendarvis can make opponents respect his jumper lookout. He will have his opportunity to shine this Saturday against multiple talented teams.
What to Watch?
Who will be the next young standout to come from the OKC Storm program? It seems every year a new quality young prospect emerges for the OKC Storm. Kurt Talbot and his staff do a terrific job at developing talent. Keep an eye out to see what young player plays a key role for the Storm as they look to defend their homeschool national championship.
Head Coaches Thoughts: Kurt Talbott
What are you looking for this weekend out of your team?
“I’m looking to see how well Nate and Trez play. How the other kids will step up into bigger roles with the competition level we will be up against. Who will be the next players that step up? Who is going to play scared? I’m excited to see what guys step up this weekend.”
Luke Major is out with a rolled ankle.
