Elite 14 Showcase Preview: Norman
The Norman Tigers are hoping to take the next big step under second-year head coach Rodney Dindy. The year Norman will start at the Elite 14 Showcase this weekend in Wichita Falls, Texas. Prep Hoops gives the player to watch, what to watch, the head coaches thoughts and matchups with game times.
Player to Watch
Bryce Mooreland 2018 5’11 Point Guard
Mooreland is coming off a solid summer on the grassroots circuit. He projects to the NCAA Division II level. What makes Mooreland so vital to Norman’s success is his ability to make others better from the Point Guard spot. He has a good handle and vision with an even better skill to fit the ball in tight spaces to open teammates. He doesn’t force shots scoring it best driving to the rim. Mooreland will be very key in Norman’s run at the Class 6A gold ball.
What to Watch
The biggest thing for Norman to keep your eye out for is the development of the team. Over his first season Coach Dindy did a great job leading the Tigers to show great progress. For them to take the next step they have to work together and stay focused. This team has the making of a team that can be there on the last Saturday of the high school season in March.
