Carvers Bay Bears Jamboree – Guards
The Carvers Bay Bears Jamboree got underway last night and Prep Hoops SC took in the action from 3 games. Lets take a look at some guards that stoodout in Day 1.
Tyrek Epps (2018) – King’s Academy (Florence)
Epps is a fun a guard to watch play the game. Epps a shifty guard with the ball can get into the gaps and find the open man for a shot. Epps transferred in this season to the The King’s Academy from nearby Lake City HS.
Epps a pure point guard will be looked upon to carry the offensive load this season for the Lions. Epps hit a few mid-range pull-up jumpers today in his debut with Lions. Epps played with TMP this past summer on the AAU Circuit.
Kendrell Generette (2018) – Socastee HS
Generette can do a bit of everything on the floor for the Braves. Generette can score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. Generette finished at the rim with both hands today. Generette seems to be in the right place on the floor for the most part every time.
Generette gives the Braves senior leadership on the floor this season.
Marcus Hemingway (2018) – Socastee HS
Hemingway returns to the Braves this season after playing at Region foe Carolina Forest HS last season. Hemingway a gritty guard brings some toughness to the back court for the Braves.
Jahrique Isaiah (2019) – Loris HS
Isaiah is just coming off a football season with the Lions. Isaiah a wide receiver got drove to the basket and used his body well to fight off defenders. Isaiah plays with a bit of a chip on his shoulder at times and aggressiveness. Isaiah played back earlier this fall in the Prep Hoops 250 Expo in Myrtle Beach.
Caninon Norris (2021) – Conway Christian
Norris came into today as unknown player. Norris left today with someone to monitor in the years to come. Norris is a one-trick pony SHOOTER. Norris plays at a very small SCISA school in Conway Christian – just down the road from Conway HS.
Prep Hoops SC will for sure like to see Norris play more down the road and will do just that during the season.
