Carvers Bay Bears Jamboree – Day 2 – Top Performers
Prep Hoops SC was back for Day 2 action here at the Carvers Bay Bears Jamboree. Lets take a look at some of the top performers on Day 2.
Jimmy Nichols (2018) – Conway HS (pictured on front)
Nichols was really no surprise here at all. Nichols 6’8 left-handed forward is headed to Providence next season in the Big East Conference. Nichols had a few dunks here tonight in transition and oops one missed dunk where the ball almost hit the top of the building.
Nichols is ranked #4 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class.
BJ Blue (2018) – Marion HS
Blue is back to lead a heavy senior laden team for new Head Coach Andre Weathers. Blue averaged 9.2 ppg and 4 rebounds last season for the Swamp Foxes.
Shane McCravy (2019) – Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant)
McCravy 6’3 has great length and can explode to the basket when given the chance. McCravy really defends the passing lanes well and rebounds the ball well on both sides of the floor. McCravy started off his career at Porter Gaud as a freshman. McCravy played AAU with the Southern Stampede EYBL this past summer.
Adyn Kirby (2019) – Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant)
Kirby has made good strides on the floor since seeing him recently at the Prep Hoops 250 Expo in Myrtle Beach. Kirby blocked several shots on the defensive end and posted up in the paint battling for position. Kirby remained active all throughout the game and is a sneaky deceptive athlete on the floor.
The Landsharks are coached by former College of Charleston player Jermel President.
Jaylen Campbell-McClurkin (2021) – Carolina Forest HS
Campbell-McClurkin recently moved into the Myrtle Beach area from Chester, SC. Campbell-McClurkin 6’5 finished inside the paint today very well for the paint. Campbell-McClurkin will for sure be a building block in the future for Head Coach Brian Brunson and the Carolina Forest HS Panthers.
Campbell-McClurkin played AAU with Team Charlotte this summer.
