Battle of the Carolina’s All-Tournament Team
The inaugural Battle of the Carolina’s held at Christ School this past weekend featured some of the top players from North Carolina and South Carolina. Here is a look at the All-Tournament Team.
John NewmanJohn Newman (Greensboro Day)-The Clemson recruit is ranked by PrepHoopsNC as the #5 recruit in the 2018 class. He is one of the best defenders in the state, he can score when he needs to, he is a non-stop motor, he is strong and plays hard ever play. He is a true winner and has already won two state championships at Greensboro Day and is working on the third.
Aaron Nesmith (Porter Gaud)-The Vanderbilt signee is one of the most athletic players in the southeast. He has a great motor and has a really nice shot that he is making consistently right now. The way that he attacks the rim and the paint is ferocious. He doesn’t back down from anyone and will try to dunk on anyone that gets in his way.
Coby White (Greenfield School)-The North Carolina recruit scored 71 points in the two day tournament. He is one of the most electrifying guards in the class and can score at will. He has a great handle and creates off the dribble better than anyone I have seen this year. He has a non-stop motor and seems to never get tired when he is on the floor. Has a strong will to win and it shows in his playing.
Brandon Stone (Christ School)-The 6-foot-10 forward showed some improvements in his low-post game and showed the ability to be able to step out and knock down the mid-range jumper out to the three-point line. He has a soft touch around the basket and is a strong rebounder.
Vincent Cole (York Prep)-The 2018 shooting guard is as pure of a scorer as you will find and he is tough as nails. He can score off the dribble or can score coming off screens. He has a good looking shot and form and makes them consistently.
