2020 Illinois Wing Stock Risers
What wing prospects have boosted their stock the most in the latest 2020 Illinois rankings update? Check it out here!
SF Isaiah Rivera (Geneseo)
Previous Rank: #9
Current Rank: #4
Rivera is a prospect that we have been on board with from day one with. He impressed last spring with Quad City Elite and took it to another level this past summer. The versatile forward can score, pass, and rebound. Not the greatest athlete he is showing improvement in that area. Absolutely dominated the PrepHoops Top 250 Expo winning MVP of the event.
SF Jayden Johnson (Batavia)
Previous Rank: NR
Current Rank: #8
Johnson burst on our radar at the High Academic Showcase back in the July evaluation period. He showed he should shoot the basketball at a very high clip and played with an advanced feel for the game at the wing spot. That continued into the fall where he shined at the PrepHoops Top 250 scoring at all three levels with ease. Johnson is ready for a breakout year.
SF Demarius Splunge (Orr)
Previous Rank: NR
Current Rank: #9
Splunge was a bit hidden last year on the high school level and in the spring. He switched over to the Mac Irvin Fire in July and the buzz started to build with his play in open gyms for Orr. Landed multiple high-major offers. Big wing that can attack the hoop showed he can score at the rim at the PrepHoops camp and Pangos.
SG Keshawn Williams (Bloom)
Previous Rank: #35
Current Rank: #13
Williams quietly just goes about his business and puts up points. He isn’t the most physically imposing player at only 6’1” with a slender frame, but the kid flat out gets buckets. Showed that in July with Young & Reckless and has continued it on the camp circuit this fall.
SG Ramean Hinton (Curie)
Previous Rank: NR
Current Rank: #21
Hinton came out of nowhere in July for All-In Athletics. The power wing broke out with performances at the NY2LA tournaments in Milwaukee with his tenacity and motor that he played with along with his physical tools. We look for him to make noise as a sophomore at Curie.
SF Nate Santos (Geneva)
Previous Rank: NR
Current Rank: #25
Santos was injured throughout the summer, but played well at the Pangos Camp showing he could shoot the ball with size and has some versatility to his game. One to track this high school season.
SF Christian Shumate (Plainfield East)
Previous Rank: #63
Current Rank: #37
Shumate was a beast at the PrepHoops Top 250 Camp. The athletic combo forward was throwing down dunk after dunk. Powerful slasher that makes plays at the rim. Skill level on the perimeter needs to improve.
SF Will Wolfe (Aurora Christian)
Previous Rank: #48
Current Rank: #38
Wolfe was one of the Wolves most productive players on the 15U level in July. He showed he could shoot the ball from three, rebound, and get after it defensively. Plays very hard and is a well-rounded player.
SF Nick Savage (Pleasant Plains)
Previous Rank: NR
Current Rank: #44
The 6’3” wing can really shoot it from the perimeter. Clean release and was excellent when we saw him connecting on threes off the catch in July. Savage has the potential to grow into a plus plus shooter from deep. He is still rounding out the others areas of his game as he is raw attacking and still growing into his body. Has a nose for the ball and is a solid rebounder from the wing position.
