2019: Names To Watch
As we enter the 2017-2018 season, we prepare for some major programs to take shape and lead the state. A lot of young talent spread across the state of Washington, playing for many different teams. Here’s a closer look at some players from the 2019 class that you might want to keep an eye out for.
PJ Fuller – Nathan Hale
Fuller had an exciting season, winning two national tournaments and the 3A state championship. He played a huge role, knocking down shots and making plays in transition. He will be playing with Seattle Rotary 17u on the Nike EYBL circuit.
Noah Williams – O’Dea
Williams took on a huge role for his sophomore season, handling the ball way more and creating off the dribble. Next season he will have even more responsibilities, so its a must he puts in some major work this off season. He will be playing with Seattle Rotary 17u, on the Nike EYBL circuit.
Jamon Kemp – Garfield
Kemp played really well this season, even with a limited role. Next season he will have to do way more scoring and show more leadership in order for the Bulldogs to succeed. He will be playing with the NW Panthers, on the Adidas circuit.
Jorell Saterfield – Rainier Beach
Saterfield gained much experience this season, playing in the tough metro league. He will surprise a lot of people this off season playing up with the Seattle Rotary 17u second team.
Elijah Pepper – Selah
With his elite scoring ability, Pepper put on a show almost every game this past season. He has been turning some heads and gaining a lot of attention.
Zane Foster – Bonney Lake
Foster stepped on the scene this season, with his size and length. He has a great defensive presence, blocking shots. He looks to continue developing this summer.
RaeQuan Battle – Marysville-Pilchuck
After growing a couple inches, Battle has been using his size to play at a higher level. He played really well this past season and looks to keep it going as he plays for Seattle Rotary 16u.
Jaden McDaniels – Federal Way
McDaniel’s continues to develop, getting more opportunities to play on the wing. He played solid this year, but still has a lot of work to do. He will be playing with NW Panthers in the Adidas circuit.
Abdul Mohamed – West Seattle
Mohamed surprised a lot of people with his outstanding play, leading West Seattle to a state tournament appearance. He continues to develop and add new skills to his game. He should have a strong summer display and should bring in more offers.
Anton Watson – Gonzaga Prep
Watson was a beast this season and led Gonzaga Prep to another state tournament appearance. He played at a high level, rebounding and defending. He should turn some heads this summer, playing for Eastern Washington Elite.
