All-11th Region Team Predictions
As the the Kentucky High School season gets underway this week, Prep Hoops Kentucky makes some All-Region Team predictions. Here, we take a look at the 11th Region – where it’s about as deep of a region in regards to talent as you can get. Talk about a toss-up prediction:
All 11th Region Team Predictions:
Carter Hendrickson, LCA / 6’7, Forward / 2018
- Hendrickson committed to the University of North Florida just recently and is LCA’s returning leading scorer. He averaged 15.3 points and 8.1 rebounds as a junior last season.
Michael Moreno, Scott County / 6’6, Small Forward / 2019
- Moreno has offers from Miami (OH), Northern Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, and Iowa. He is considered one of the top prospects in Kentucky’s 2019 class.
Alexander Payne, Lexington Catholic / 6’5, Forward / 2018
- Last season he helped lead the Knights to a 24-9 overall record and a trip to the 11th Region championship game, falling to Scott County 44-56. Payne averaged 15.1 points and 9 rebounds per game. He also shot just under 50% from the field.
Kyle Rode, LCA / 6’6, Small Forward / 2019
- Rode holds offers from New Orleans, SEMO, Liberty, Samford, Northern Kentucky, and Kennesaw State. Along with Hendrickson and Hall, Rode will look to help take LCA to heights never reached before – a trip to the state tournament.
Copper Robb, Scott County / 6’2, Point Guard / 2018
- Proof that a really good showing during the summer can land you the scholarship you are looking for, Robb committed to UNC Charlotte after performing very well in front of head coach and former NBA sharpshooter Mark Price. Robb averaged 15 points per game last season and is one heck of a floor general.
Keep An Eye On:
Eric Powell, Lafayette / 6’2, Guard / 2018
- Powell is a sharpshooting two guard who shot over 40% from the field last season. He averaged 11.2 points per game and has interest from a a number of small college programs.
Terrence Clayton, Bryan Station / 6’2, Guard / 2018
- Averaged just under 14 points per game last season. He and Eric Boone will look to make Bryan Station a contender in the 11th Region.
Austin Hall, LCA / 6’5, Forward / 2018
- Hall averaged 14.3 points and 6 rebounds per game while helping lead LCA to it’s first ever district championship and an appearance in the regional tournament. Hall has committed to play at the next level at the University of the Cumberlands.
Isaiah Cozart, Madison Central / 6’9, Forward, Center / 2019
- One of the great shot blockers in Kentucky high school basketball history (a record holder already), Cozart has offers from Eastern Kentucky and Winthrop.
Eric Boone, Bryan Station / 5’10, Guard / 2018
- Boone received his first college offer from Kentucky State (D-II) in August. He averaged 14 points and and 8.3 rebounds as a junior. Boone played solidly this summer with adidas gauntlet powerhouse Louisville Magic.
Diablo Stewart, Scott County / 5’10, Guard / 2019
- Transferring from Franklin County where he averaged 18.5 points per game, Stewart adds to an already talents back-court at Scott County.
Bryce Long, Scott County / 6’2, Guard / 2019
- Long has the ability to fill it up from different spots on the floor. Last season as a sophomore, he shot right at 46% from the field. He averaged 12 points per game.
Kyle Stivers, Franklin County / 6’2, Guard / 2019
- With Stewart transferring to Scott County, look for Stivers to be leaned on to carry Franklin County when needed. Stivers averaged just under 10 points per game as a sophomore.
