10 Best : Irmo vs Boiling Springs
The Irmo Yellow Jackets play every season in the Impact Sports Invitational at Spartanburg Christian Academy. The Yellow Jackets played a tough Boiling Springs Bulldogs and pulled away with a 58-43 win in the opening round of the tourney.
MVP : Winston Hill (2018) – Irmo HS (pictured on front)
Hill 6’7 didn’t score a point in the first half after only playing about 3 minutes. Hill picked up his 3rd foul at the 7:41 mark in the 2nd quarter. Hill saved it all for the second half and finished the night with 20 points and a perfect 8-8 from the foul line down the stretch.

Hill dominating the paint in the 2nd half for the Yellow Jackets. Hill finished the night with a double-double with only really playing 2 quarters.
Best Offensive Performance : Kamal Desor (2019) Boiling Springs HS
Desor is a run-jump-athlete on the floor and can knock down the 10-12 footer. Desor excels in the transition game and likes to stalk the baseline.
Best Defensive Performance : Trevez Caldwell (2019) Irmo HS
Caldwell created havoc on the defensive end and controlled the passing lanes for the Yellow Jackets. Caldwell 5’9 was quick end to end on the floor.
Best Guy off the Bench : Dylan Williams (2023) – Irmo M.S.
Williams was a pleasant surprise and spark for the Yellow Jackets. Williams scored just 2 points in the game but came up with a lot of floor burns and loose balls. Williams was a ball hawk night long for the Yellow Jackets.
Best Underclassmen : Dylan Williams (2023) – Irmo M.S.
Williams is just a 8th grader at Irmo Middle School. Williams started the 2nd half after coming off the bench. Williams just brought constant energy and just a ton of effort without being fazed at all.
Best Guy Under the Radar : Seth Hewitt (2018) – Boiling Springs HS
Hewitt constantly finished around the cup tonight. Hewitt is for sure the meaning under the radar type of player. Hewitt finished the night with 17 points.
Best Project : Bostun Rivers (2019) – Irmo HS
Rivers has a great first name to go with a tremendous work ethic in the paint. Rivers 6’3 (210) throws his rump around in the paint and thrives on contact. Rivers is a great teammate and realy understands his role on the floor.
Best Small College Prospect : Seth Hewitt (2018) – Boiling Springs HS
Hewitt is a deceptive athlete that really plays well around the cup. Hewitt 6’5 runs the floor very well and will suprise you with his athleticism.
Takeaway :
Zach Baldinelli (2019) sat this game out for Boiling Springs with a boot on his left foot. Baldinelli could be out for a long period of time he told Prep Hoops.
Dylan Williams (2023) plays AAU with the Atlanta Cavs he informed Prep Hoops. Williams will for sure be a name to hear in the future. Williams made news last summer playing Little League baseball and making a barehanded catch during the Southeast Regional for his Irmo squad.
