10 Best: Greenfield School vs York Prep
MVP: Coby White-The UNC signee scored 40 points against Rock Hill, SC based York Prep. He was unstoppable with his ability to score off the dribble and nobody on York Prep could really stop him when he wanted to score.
Top Unsigned Senior: Vince Cole-The Long and athletic Cole scored 31 points for York Prep. He knocked down three deep three-pointers in the 4th quarter en route to his 31 points. He is tough, and knows how to get the ball into the basket.
Best Underclassmen: Deuce Dean-The physically gifted Dean doesn’t back down to anyone and did a good job of defending against Greenfield’s Coby White and Elijah McCadden. He scored 14 points on the night.
Play of the Game: With the game close late in the 4th, the referees made a close game not so close. A bad call, which led to a technical foul against York Prep was the key play of the game.
Best Dunk: Elijah McCadden, a Georgia Southern commit, had the dunk of the game and the weekend when he beat his man off the dribble and threw down a huge one-handed jam in traffic.
Best Shooter: Coby White-While he be suiting up for Roy Williams and North Carolina next season, White showed what he will bring to Chapel Hill shooting wise next season. Great at creating off the dribble and consistently make jump-shots.
Best Big Man: DJ Burns-The highly
Ranked Burns was limited a little with foul trouble but when he was in the game it was easy to see why so many programs are involved. He is skilled in the post, has good footwork and has a soft touch.
Most Athletic: Dericko Williams-The two-sport star is physically gifted and plays well above the rim. He is Long and plays with toughness. He blocks shots and rebounds with his aggressiveness.
Future Pro: Coby White-He has all of the tools that will be necessary to get it done at the NBA Level. He can score on anybody and never takes a play off.
Do-it-All-Elijah McCadden of Greenfield School does a little bit of everything to make sure his team gets the win. Rebounds, makes plays, scores, and defends.
What’s Next: Greenfield School will have a home game with United Faith out of Charlotte and York Prep will take on Northwood Temple.
