Weekly Dish: Dillard Off The Board, Myja Racking Up Offers and More
This time of the year is one that is always an interesting one. There are a lot of things going on but typically there isn’t much basketball being played. College coaches are back in their offices and trying to make key decisions and players are back in their home gyms getting better but things are still happening. Today, we are going to take a look at the latest happenings in the state.
– 2018 guard Jamal Harris of Crispus Attucks (IN) will take an unofficial visit to SIU-Edwardsville on October 10th. The 6’2 guard is one of the most athletic players and has drawn in interest from a wide-range of schools over the years. SIUE is the latest.
– 2018 wing Noah Mahoney of Chesterton (IN) took a visit to Benedictine this week. He’s been on a bunch of DIII campuses the last few weeks.
– 2021 guard Khristian Lander of Evansville Reitz (IN) will take a visit to Michigan this weekend. He’s already had Purdue in to watch. Should be one of the top players in the state in 2021.
– Kyle Neddenriep of the IndyStar reported this week that Aundrey Wright will take over as the head coach of Arsenal Tech (IN). He’s a former assistant coach at Indianapolis and coach for Indy Heat AAU program.
– 2019 guard Brandon Newman of Valparaiso (IN) has picked up an offer from North Dakota. Newman has a small handful of LM/MM offers so far. Starting to pick up interest stemming from a big summer with Indy Heat 2019.
– 2018 guard Quinn Moffitt of Triton Central (IN) has picked up an offer from Siena Heights. That is his second offer joining Trine.
– 2018 point guard Myja White of Brebeuf Jesuit (IN) has picked up an offer from William & Mary. The 6’0 guard now has a ton of LM/MM offers with many coming off a big summer with EG10.
– 2018 wing Shamar Dillard of South Bend Riley (IN) has committed to Western Illinois. The 6’5 wing had drawn in tons of interest at multiple levels but will now join multiple Indiana prospects with HC Billy Wright in Macomb, Illinois.
– 2019 wing Keion Brooks Jr. of Fort Wayne North (IN) took a visit to Purdue this past weekend. Purdue was his first offer and has been heavy in his recruitment since. Keion has a ton of top end HM offers including Kentucky.
– 2018 forward Luke Gohmann of Floyd Central (IN) took a visit to Malone this past week. The DII program out of Ohio has been diving into Indiana this past year and Gohmann is one of their offers right now.
