Updated Kansas Rankings: Class of 2018
The time has finally come to roll out the new Prep Hoops Kansas’ 2018 rankings.
Today the rising senior class is available, which features a group that already has several players atop the rankings who hold high major offers, as well as several players who have raised their stock in recent months. The class is loaded with players who will likely make big impacts at the D-II, D-III, NAIA and JUCO programs in the future,
After much debate, our top five in the 2018 class has undergone some big changes, opening with Wichita Southeast wing Israel Barnes, followed by the state’s biggest riser, Cooper Kaifes, big man Keenan Fitzmorris, and big men Parker Braun and Joe Pleasant.
Also after much internal debate, the prep school players have been removed from the rankings unless they are originally from an in-state community. Many of those players will continue to be featured throughout the season, but because of the high rate of turnover at those schools, it is difficult to compile rankings that include them.
The Class of 2019 rankings as well as analysis has been released, and 2020 rankings will also be updated soon.
