Region Preview: Region 12
This should be a really tough Region 12 with Logan leading the way. Logan has as much skill as anyone in 4A and arguably in the entire state. With this group, they will be extremely tough to beat. With that said Sky View and Ridgeline have plenty of talent but will have a number of new players playing new roles. As they get acclimated, they have the potential to be extremely talented as well.
Region Preview: Region 12
1. Logan
Logan has one of the top teams in the entire state returning and should play a huge factor in Region 12. This group has plenty of weapons and will be quite difficult for opposing teams to slow down. With that said, there is competition in this region that is capable of competing with them. Jared Bagley is one of the key prospects to watch for the team. He generates a lot of scoring opportunities for himself as well as his teammates. Bagley will be assisted by Anthony McDade. McDade will play a similar role as Bagley. He is a high IQ basketball player who understands how to put the defense in help side positions and make them pay. Lastly, keep an eye on Brayden Roberts and Josh Jensen. Roberts and Jensen do a good job on the glass and are typical beneficiaries of the strong play of Bagley and McDade.
2. Sky View
Sky View has a lot of questions that need to answered. However, they have plenty of talent to answer those questions. Despite losing a number of key 2017 contributors, Sky View will have one of the top 2020 prospects to look up to in Mason Falslev Mason Falslev 6'1" | PG Sky View | 2020 State #228 Nation UT . Falslev is a balanced scorer who shoots the basketball at a high rate. His ability to contribute as a freshman will provide him with the experience to take another huge step this upcoming season while his teammates figure out their roles. It will be interesting to see which 2018 prospects step up and play huge roles for this team.
3. Ridgeline
Much like Sky View, Ridgeline will have a lot to replace. However, they will have one piece to rely on while the rest of the group figures out their roles. Landon Brenchley had a great season as a 2019 prospect last season. He was second on the team in assists while shooting the basketball at a high rate. Brenchley will have a much bigger role with much higher expectations this year. With that said, also much like Sky View, Ridgeline has plenty of 2018 prospects who are capable of stepping up and playing big roles. It will take them time assimilate, but Brenchley is a capable scorer and shooter who can make his teammates better.
