Recruiting Report: Zach Lerblance (2019)
Zach Lerblance is a 6’2 Point Guard from McAlester High School. Lerblance played for the Oklahoma Power over the summer and performed well.
Lerblance has a quick first step to blow past defenders when they are guarding him too closely. He compliments this with a solid shot when players play him loose, he can rise up and hit the shot over them.
Before the upcoming season, Lerblance would like to become a better lockdown defender. He wants to improve his man to man defense to where no one can get by him.
Lerblance’s favorite NBA play is Russell Westbrook. He love Westbrook because of his loyalty to the state of Oklahoma and the fact that he has not left yet.
Last season for McAlester, Lerblance had a career performance in which he went off for 31 points against the Savages.
“It was fun,” said Lerblance. “It is my favorite moment of my career so far.”
While not playing basketball, Lerblance likes to hang out with his friends. He does not care what he and his friends do just likes to spend his free time with them.
In college, Lerblance would like to major in physical therapy. He currently has a GPA of 4.23 with an ACT score of 22.
When looking for a college, Lerblance would like to consider schools that match up with what he wants to do academically as well as a good fit basketball wise. He would also like to go to a school where he could compete for playing time as well.
“I just want the experience to say that I played college basketball,” said Lerblance. “Hopefully I get to do this and get some free years in school as well.”
Lerblance is currently ranked No. 55 in the 2019 class of Oklahoma.
In the upcoming season, Lerblance wants to have a season that would help him make the Class 5A All-State team as an individual. As for his team, he wants to contribute in any way that would help the team win it all this season.
