Top Uncommitted Seniors
The Class of 2018 has seen a slew of commitments this fall. It’s rare to see so many kids committed before the spring signing period. As a result, our top 7 players in the 2018 Rankings are all committed already. There are 4 2018 prospects with committable D1 offers and a lot of quality depth for the division II level and below. Here’s a look at the top remaining uncommitted seniors.
Photo Courtesy HoopSeenJayden Scrubb (Trinity) – The super athletic wing from Louisville holds offers from Youngstown State and Long Beach State but has his eyes on power 5 offers. Jayden is a young senior and could be a candidate for a post graduate year at a prep school.
Skyelar Potter (Warren Central) – The 6’3 shooting guard is a high volume scorer and should be the best player in the 4th region this season by a wide margin. Potter holds offers from Lipscomb and Miami (Ohio).
Trey Hill (PRP) – A skilled 6’4 combo guard from Louisville, Hill will look to carry PRP to the state tournament this season. He has an offer from Eastern Kentucky and recently new interest from Lafayette. Hill could see more schools taking interest as his senior season progresses.
JJ Reed (Paducah Tilghman) – A 6’5 combo forward, Reed recently received and offer from Kentucky State. Reed once held an offer from Samford but that likely went away after the commitment of Steven Fitzgerald. Reed is another player who could be helped by a post graduate year where he becomes more effective as a true wing.
Oumar Keita (Cordia) – Keita’s lack of development over the last several seasons has been a massive disappointment. His offensive game just hasn’t developed to go along with his solid defense and rebounding. Keita is big and long and athletic so he may find a home at the low D1 level before all is said and done.
Wyatt Battaille (Pikeville) – The 6’4 shooting guard was awarded an offer from Mercer during his 16u AAU season but he missed most of his 17u season due. It’s unclear whether Mercer’s offer still stands but if Battaille can get his team to Rupp Arena in March, he could have a Jake Ohmer type of boost in his recruitment if they can win a game or two.
