Recruiting Report: Nate Seputis (2020)
Nate Seputis is a 2020 player that we are very high on. He is one of the higher ranked posts in the 2020 class already, but will get a bump in the next update. The 6’9” Lincoln Way East center has the ability to contribute in a number of areas. First and foremost he brings a lunch pail attitude and plays hard every possession. Runs the floor both looking for a pass as well as getting back on D. High level rebounder on both ends of the floor. He high points the ball grabbing it at the peak. Physical down low with a strong frame and legit size. Offensively he flashes post moves on the block and getting some garbage points. Can finish with powerful dunks. Legit range on his shot out to beyond the three point arc as he looks comfortable shooting from there with ease. Seputis is a mid-major prospect that could explode this season!
He talked about his summer with Team RWA playing up an age level.
“July went really good. I started putting up better numbers and getting used to play on 17U. Overall I think I had a good July.”
He saw growth in his overall game this past spring and summer.
“I really improved on my post game and outside game. Also getting more rebounds.”
How are open gyms going with Lincoln Way East?
“It was good. I feel like we are going to be strong this year and have a good season.”
Seputis broke down the biggest assets he can bring to a team at the next level.
“I feel my strengths are getting rebounds and blocking shots. Also my mid-range and low-post.”
One D1 program has already extended an offer.
“I got offer from UTEP in August. Not much other than that right now.”
What does he like about UTEP?
“They have really good connections with the NBA because of their coach with Coach Floyd being from the Bulls. They really like recruiting kids from Illinois. They have a good basketball program overall.”
