Recruiting Report: Bennett Kwiecinski (2020)
Loyola 2020 6’6” forward Bennett Kwiecinski forward is long and thin. The 2020 combo forward has some tools to work with. Very mobile for his size and rebounds well snatching them at their highest point. Makes strong outlet passes. Flashes ability to score on the block with quick moves. Also can handle it some on the perimeter and even flashes wing skill. He lacks functional strength and will need to add a lot of bulk over the next few years, but has plenty of time for that.
How was this summer playing with the Illinois Wolves 15U?
“It went really well. We played a lot of good teams. There were a few tournaments that we lost focus and didn’t play as well. I think as a whole it went good. I thought I played pretty well. I would have liked to score more. Overall I think I played well though.”
What are the best assets in his game?
“Some of my strengths might be rebounding and defense. Being able to attack the basket. A driving wing.”
He updated us on his early recruitment.
“We had Holy Cross at our gym. It has been going pretty well. DePaul offered.”
What does he like about DePaul?
“I don’t know a lot about them right now. I like the school and how it is nearby in Chicago.”
Down the line what will be important for him and his twin brother in a college decision?
“Academics are important. Good coaching and a solid team.”
