Rameybasketball Fall League (2018 Standouts)
Prep Hoops Missouri spent Sunday afternoon at the Rameybasketball Fall League at Cardinal Ritter College Prep. Here is a look at some of the Class of 2018 standouts on the day:
Courtney Ramey 6’4″ Webster Groves: The top rated 2018 player in Missouri put on a dazzling show with 40 points in his team’s victory. Ramey put up the big number in an efficient manner with buckets from all three levels. He scored on easy drives, pull up jumpers and knock down 3-pointers while still dropping dimes to open teammates.
Kobe Smith 6’4″ Ritenour: The strong bodied wing player had the second best offensive output of the day with 34 points. He is a talented offensive player who can attack the rim on the bounce and create his offense off the dribble for his nice looking jumpers. Combine that with his size and strength and you have a tough cover.
Leon Perry 6’7″ Confluence: The active combo forward scored 16 points and grabbed a bushel of rebounds. His high motor and work rate make him difficult to handle because Perry is constantly bringing the action to his foes around the basket. He continued to grab tough rebounds and block shots while displaying some good offensive moves facing the basket from the mid-post area.
Malachi Smith 6’2″ Belleville West (IL): The talented guard was one of the top stock risers with his play during the summer grassroots season. He continued his excellent play with some strong takes off the dribble and a nice perimeter stroke from 3-point range.
Ivan Mikheev 6’5″ St. Louis Christian: A versatile combo forward who scored 14 points and displayed some of the best passing skills that I witnessed throughout the day. He was dropping nice dimes from all angles to open teammates for buckets. He was a matchup problem with his ability to draw out bigger defenders with his ball handling and shooting skills.
Darius Dorsey 6’2″ CBC: A blue-collar wing player who scored 15 points who did most of his damage around the basket with driving layups and high energy plays that helped his team rally from an early 24-point deficit to pull out a near victory. He plays with a high motor, which became infectious on the rest of the team. An excellent role player that every winning team could use to be successful.
