Prospect Spotlight: Landry Harris (2021)
Landy Harris is a 5’9 Point Guard for Edmond North. He plays grassroots ball for the Oklahoma Savage 2021 team.
Harris is a strong shooter that has great ball handling capabilities to compliment his shot. He is also a solid defender with a good upside.
Currently, Harris is ranked the tenth player in the 2021 class.
Before the high school season starts, Harris would like to become a better leader on the court this season to contribute to the Huskies in the upcoming season.
The Huskies won the Class 6A state title to finish their phenomenal season last year. The Huskies finished their season 23-2 achieving the ultimate goal of every high school team.
“I want to lead my team to a high level,” said Harris. “That is one of the points of my game that I would like to improve on before the season.”
Russell Westbrook is a crowd favorite in Oklahoma, and he is Harris’ favorite NBA player. Harris likes Westbrook’s mentality and how he approaches every game.
In Las Vegas in the summer of his sixth-grade year, Harris hit a half-court buzzer-beater to win a game. This is still his favorite moment on the basketball court three years later.
Off the court, Harris is much like many other kids his age. Harris enjoys playing NBA 2K18 with his friends.
Harris would like to attend college to play basketball. At the moment, Harris has not taken the ACT. He also does not know what he wants to major in in college. His current GPA is a 3.0. He would like to attend a college with a good basketball program.
In this upcoming season for the Huskies, Harris would like to help his team at an elite level. He hopes to help his team get to the best of its ability. The Huskies will look to repeat as state champions in the upcoming season.
