Prospect Spotlight: Diondre Alexander (2020)
Diondre Alexander is a 5’8 Point Guard for John Marshall High School. Alexander plays for Teamwork Oklahoma in grassroots ball. He is in the 2020 class.
Alexander is strong with the ball when he attacks the basket. He has good vison to be able to find his open teammates. He is a player who makes his teammates better with his play. He also has the ability to score the ball well getting to the hoop.
Like most other players in the state Alexander is always working on getting better. He is working on getting faster and stronger before the upcoming season with the Bears so that he can help them to the best possible season.
Looking forward to college, Alexander is not only looking for a school he can play basketball at, he is looking for a place that has a good engineering program. After college, Alexander will look to become an engineer. With this career and major choice, he will have to have good grades. He currently holds a 3.8 GPA and has not taken the ACT yet.
Chris Paul is Alexander’s favorite NBA player. He likes Paul because you can learn a lot from him and the way he shares the ball and makes teammates better.
Throwing an alley-oop is a special moment in most players’ careers and that is no differ for Alexander. Alexander’s favorite moment on the court is when he got to throw an alley-oop to one of his teammates last season.
Like many other kids his age, Alexander likes to play NBA 2k18 in his time off the court.
In the upcoming season, Alexander would like to become the best player that he is capable of being.
“I want to reach the highest peak of my game that I can get to this season,” said Alexander. “I want to help take John Marshall to state.”
Alexander will look to contribute to John Marshall and help them get to state after a disappointing loss in Regionals.
