Palmetto State: Region 4-AAAAA Players to Watch
Prep Hoops looks at Region 4-AAAAA. Nation Ford HS has plenty of talent to make that step to Columbia next March.
Ryan Heriot Fort Mill HS (2018)
Heriot 5’11 guard plays football and basketball for the Yellow Jacket. Heriot averaged 9.4 ppg and 3.0 rebounds per game last season for the Yellow Jackets. Heriot will be a key returner for the defending Region 4-AAAAA champions.
Eric Moulds Nation Ford HS (Fort Mill) (2018)
Moulds 6’0 combo guard keeps the ball on string and likes to play up-tempo out in transition.. Moulds will play in the backcourt with Zeb Graham. Moulds changes speeds very well and has a consistent jumper to hit open looks on the floor.
Moulds played with the Fort Mill Spartans this summer.
Landon Murray Nation Ford HS (Fort Mill) (2018)
Murray is a space eater in the paint. Murray must get better laterally. Murray 6’9 post player plays below the rim. Murray is best suited in a half court offense. Murray played with the Upward Stars York County this summer.
Travell Crosby Nation Ford HS (Fort Mill) (2018)
Crosby a big bodied post player will concentrate on football at the college level. Crosby can face-up from the baseline for a short jumper. Crosby has received plenty of interest on the gridiron. Crosby played AAU this past summer with the Sharp Shooters.
Shaman Alston Nation Ford HS (Fort Mill) (2019)
Alston played with Upward Stars Southeast 2019 this AAU season. Alston 6’4 is a big guard that has great elevation on his shot. Alston has the ability to create his own shot or get to the rack. Alston gets his hands on many balls in the passing lanes.
Alston averaged 18.1 ppg last season for the Warriors. Alston transferred to Nation Ford HS this fall from Indian Land HS.
Khydarius Smith Nation Ford HS (Fort Mill) (2019) (Photo on the Front)
Smith a 6’7 left handed small forward for the Falcons is always the around the rim for the put back and rebound. Smith has a nice mid-range game. Smith played with the Team Charlotte 16u on the Under Armour AAU Circuit this past summer.
Zeb Graham Nation Ford HS (Fort Mill) (2019)
Graham 6’1 point guard plays for Nation Ford HS and with Team Charlotte 16U during the AAU Season. Graham was named to Class 5A all-state team in 2017 and to the All-Region team. Graham averaged 17 ppg, 3.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Falcons last season.
Hezekiah Massey Clover HS (2019)
Massey 6’0 guard plays football and basketball for the Blue Eagles. Massey controls the offense and shows to have a nice mid-range game. Massey is a pesky defender on the defensive end of the floor. Massey played for the Fort Mill Knicks this past summer.
Zay Martin Northwestern HS (Rock Hill) 2019
Martin is a very smooth and athletic 6’1 combo guard. Martin averaged 8.5 ppg and grabbed 3.2 rebounds last season for the Trojans. Martin played for Upward Stars York County this past summer.
Nation Ford HS is the favorite to win this region with plenty of talent on the roster. The addition of Alston to the roster puts the Falcons out in front here.
