The high school basketball season officially starts practice next week. The last night of the high school football regular season ends tonight. Prep Hoops SC takes a look at some notes from around the Palmetto State in this article.

Kyron Gray #1  Ceasare Edwards #11

Kyron Gray has received a scholarship from Benedict (SC) (NCAA D2). Gray 6’7 averaged 10.1 ppg and 9.9 rebounds last season for the Red Foxes. Gray had a good summer playing with Team South Carolina on the AAU Circuit. Gray will look to build on those numbers this season for Hartsville HS. Gray will team up with Trae Hannibal (2018) and Ceasare Edwards (2021) to give the Red Foxes some talent for the future.

The Red Foxes lost 2 senior guards this off season to transferring out.

Former Wilson HS player Duncan Lexander has committed to play at Charleston Southern University in the Big South Conference next season. Lexander is currently doing a second year at the Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, MA.

Lexander 6’8 had signed with Presbyterian College back in November 2017 before reopening his recruitment in the spring. Lexander really can shoot the ball out on the perimeter.
