The Lowcountry has a new team playing in Hilton Head and it’s Heritage Academy. The Hammerheads are coached by Cody Hopkins. The Hammerheads played this weekend in the 3rd Annual Swanny’s Jamboree in Myrtle Beach, SC.

The Hammerheads have 3 players on the roster with Palmetto State ties. Kyle and Kyran Rawson are on the roster along with Dallaz Corbitt.  The trio attended the now defunct 22Ft Academy last season in the Upstate.

Kyle Rawson

Kyle really  showed some glimpses this weekend of old when he came on the scene a few years back. Rawson a left-handed 6’8 skilled forward finished around the cup and made some great passes.

Campbell and The Citadel have shown interest in Rawson according to Hopkins.

Kyran Rawson

Kyran didn’t play in the event and is still nursing a knee injury. Rawson now 6’11 should be back to play by January.

Dallaz Corbitt

Corbitt just keeps getting better in the paint. Corbitt 6’7 forward really works for everything around the basket. Corbitt finished on contact today and likes to play on contact. South Carolina and Kent State are keeping tabs on Corbitt this fall according to Hopkins. Corbitt who’s from Elgin, SC played his freshman season at Keenan HS.

Corbitt played this summer with the Karolina Khaos.

Jakobe Dill has made quite impression since arriving at Heritage Academy. Dill 6’2 sharp-shooting guard just hits shots from all over the floor today. Dill played last season at Beaumont (TX) Central HS. Dill played this summer with the Houston Defenders on the AAU Circuit.

Dill broke his ankle and missed all last season during the high school season. Fresno State and Western Kentucky University have shown interest in Dill this fall according to Hopkins.
