Overall Prospect Rankings: #6 – #10
In September we released our rankings for the classes of 2018 and 2019. What if you took those classes along with 2020 and did an overall ranking regardless of class? This is what they would look like!
Today we unveil prospects #6 – #10!
#6 SF Talen Horton-Tucker (Simeon – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: #17
THT has been a prospect we have seen grow and mature on the court over the last three years. He is a versatile small forward with the ability to beat a defense in a variety of ways. Crafty handles allow him to get where he needs on the floor and is a sound shooter with his jumper.
#7 SF Zion Griffin (Hinsdale South – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Griffin came out of virtually nowhere. He was not on hardly anyone’s radar a year ago and he had a solid, but not spectacular junior year. His spring and summer were phenomenal with Hoopers Basketball Club emerging as a legit HM player. He is a big and athletic small forward that can slash to the hoop, dunk in the open floor, and hit a deep three. Solid rebounder.
#8 SG Tim Finke (Champaign Central – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: #5
Finke is a broad shouldered two guard that has great size at 6’7”. His best attributes are his ability to move without the ball to get open and shoot it from the perimeter. Skilled player that can pass it well for an off guard and plays with a lot of toughness and grit.
#9 C George Conditt (Corliss – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Conditt is another player that came out of nowhere. He was on nobodies radar until the spring when with Team RWA he broke out. Great physical tools with 6’9” height and a long wingspan. Runs the floor like a deer, blocks shots, and can handle it on the perimeter.
#10 Terrence Hargrove (East St. Louis – 2019)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Hargrove is a junk yard dog at 6’6” with his toughness and athleticism. The East St. Louis small forward is most comfortable on the interior right now where he gets on the offensive glass for put backs like nobody else. Plus rebounder on both ends that is a solid defender. Skill set continues to emerge.
