Marcus’ 250 Expo Standouts
Dawson Paulsen– Rapid City- Paulsen is a larger guard that has the ability to create space for himself with a quick behind the back. His shot is a slower release, but effective from deep and from a one dribble pull up.
Chris Morales– Tea- Morales is an undersized guard, but that did not affect his game at all. His handles impressive and he pushes the ball hard up every possession looking to attack or dish. His quick first step helps him create space from his defender and float it over larger defenders.
Jharett Bloomenrader– Highmore- Bloomenrader is a shorter big, but an absolute bully inside. He has great hands and has the ability to step in and bury his defender for dump offs. Bloomenrader has a nice drop step move that is his go to and cleans up the offensive glass nicely.
Dylan Pourier– Elder- Pourier is a solid player on both ends of the floor. His athletic ability allows him to finish at the bucket, but he also has a great step back to create for himself. Pourier’s vision also impressed me as he was able to distribute in transition nicely and off ball screens.
Gabe Person– Sioux Falls- Person seemed to be everywhere on the court. His athletic abilities are unreal and he works just as hard. He flies to the glass and has a high motor as he grabbed offensive boards. Person drives hard with purpose and looks to kick to the open man or finish at or above the rim.
Emmanuel Akot– Sioux Falls- Akot is an extremely long big at 6’8 that has lots of potential and a huge upside when it comes to inside the paint. On both ends of the floor he is able to show presents. Akot blocked shots from the weak side and finishes well off dump offs at the rim in traffic offensively.
Emmanuel Tor– Sioux Falls- Tor is a very solid guard that handles the ball extremely well and can set up the offence nicely. He was a go to guy on offence using his handles and athletic dunking abilities. Tor also impressed me on the defencive end with his quick hands and ability to keep his defender in front of him and work every possession.
Jabril Muktar– Sioux Falls- Muktar is a smaller guard that uses his quickness to his advantage. He has great vision still and had multiple creative passes on the break. His first step is quick and he used that to slash his way down the lane and finish among taller defenders.
Cole Bruhn– Sioux Falls- Bruhn was one of the top shooters in the 250 Expo, he is capable from deep and can hit them early and often. Bruhn is able to catch and shoot or create space for himself and hit a pull up or step back.
Solomon Bach– Watertown- Bach is an undersized big that has lots of raw talent and potential. He uses his quickness to get around post defenders and will crash the glass hard on both ends of the floor.
Quincy Ihnen– Lennox- Ihnen is a very crafty quick guard that can drive in the lane and finish making whatever the defender chooses, to be wrong. He impressed me with his euro reverse finishes and high skill set in passing.
Brady Greger– Spearfish- Greger has a great game and knows his role as the player who outworks everyone else. His high motor and relentlessness made him standout getting rebounds and hustle plays as well as his ability to finish offensively.
Gavin Schipper– Sioux Falls- Schipper is an extremely solid shooting guard that seems to always find a way to get his shot. He has high basketball IQ and moves on the court well and helped his team with spacing. He is a great catch and shoot player as well as being able to put it on the deck and pull up.
