KANSAS RANKINGS: Biggest Risers (2018 Wings)
Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at some wings who have raised their stock since last season.
Jack Schoemann, 6’7, F, 2018, Shawnee Mission East
Schoemann recently committed to play at Colorado State and also held an offer from UTEP after a strong summer competing for MoKan Select. He is a long, rangy forward who handles the ball well, shoots well from the outside and surprises with his strong work on the boards. He is still slight of build but projects well with work in the weight room.
Ben Pyle, 6’6, F, 2018,
Pyle jumped up to seventh in our 2018 rankings and after a strong summer competing for Kansas Select has committed to play at Division I Western Illinois.
Luke Waters, 6’6, F, 2018, Olathe Northwest
Waters is kind of an inside-outside guy who can score in the post or step out to the perimeter where he is comfortable handling the ball or shooting from the perimeter. He is among the state’s better all-around forwards.
Bryant Mocaby, 6’5, SG, 2018, Derby
We really like this kid’s game and he jumped up to No. 9 on our list after a strong offseason competing for Kansas Pray N Play. He recently committed to Northern Kentucky. He is a standout shooter, can handle the ball a little and has good size and athleticism. He could play either the 2 or 3 at the next level.
Tyon Grant, 6’5, F, 2018, Schlagle
Grant is probably set to climb even higher in our rankings with a strong season. He is a talented wing player with an improving perimeter jumper and has the ability to impact the game all over the court.
