3rd Annual – Swanny’s Roundball Review
This weekend will kick off the 3rd Annual Swanny’s Jamboree in Myrtle Beach, SC. The event will feature Heritage Academy and Legacy Early College in the one day event. The event will start at 12:00 P.M. at the Myrtle Beach Sports Center.
Heritage Academy (Hilton Head) is a new program this season in the Lowcountry. Heritage Academy is coached by Cody Hopkins. Heritage Academy has some Palmetto State fare in Kyle Rawson and Kyran Rawson on the roster. Dallaz Corbitt who started his career at Keenan HS played last season at 22FT Academy in the Upstate.
Kyle Rawson played AAU with Gateway Basketball Club out of St Louis, MO on the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit this summer. Rawson 6’8 left-handed small forward has a great skill level.
Corbitt 6’7 keeps on improving his game and his a man in the paint with his physical play.
Heritage Academy and Legacy Early College will both play 3 games on Saturday October 28, 2017.
Legacy Early College (Greenville) is coached by BJ Jackson. The Lions have plenty of talent on this seasons roster including Wake Forest commit Sharone Wright JR. The Lions have leadership in guards Dontrell Shuler and Maliek Wilcox. Shuler is ranked #12 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class.
Shuler has received scholarship offers from South Carolina State, Charleston Southern University and Newberry (SC) (NCAA D2) according to Jackson. Shuler started his high school career at Irmo HS before going to Legacy Early College last season. Shuler played AAU with the Karolina Khaos this summer.
Wilcox a point guard transferred in this fall from South Pointe HS. The Lions have several others on the roster in Dontavius King, Malik Wiles, Raymond Williams and CJ Plantin to name just a few.
The action will be great from top to bottom all day long on Saturday October 28, 2017. Come out to the Myrtle Beach Sports Center and see some great basketball with 30 teams in attendance.
