Weekly Dish: Commitments
This time of the year is one that is always an interesting one. There are a lot of things going on but typically there isn’t much basketball being played. College coaches are back in their offices and trying to make key decisions and players are back in their home gyms getting better but things are still happening. Today, we are going to take a look at the latest happenings in the state.
– Leo (IN) guard Jeremy Davison has committed to Indiana Tech. New Indiana Tech head coach Ted Albert has been aggressive in the state since taking over the job and lands his first in the class of 2018 from right in his backyard.
– Carmel (IN) post John–Michael Mulloy has committed to Butler. The local product only sat on his offer from the Bulldogs a couple days before pulling the trigger. He’s one of the first off the board in 2019 in the Midwest and the first from the state in that class.
– Terre Haute South (IN) guard De’Avion Washington has committed to Indiana State. Washington was split between ISU and Valparaiso for a long time but the hometown program won out.
– Fort Wayne South (IN) forward Asher Blum has committed to Grace College. Blum had a strong end to the summer and was drawing a lot of interest. His father is a coach at Grace College so there was a big draw for Blum.
– Ben Davis (IN) wing Aaron Henry has committed to Michigan State. Henry had numerous offers and was the biggest riser not only in the state but in the Midwest this July. He chose MSU over offers from Butler, Ohio State, Indiana, Illinois, and Xavier.
