Top 250 Expo: Top shooters 2020 & 2021
Throughout Saturday’s Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo, we saw many great performances. There was no shortage of sharpshooters in the building. Whether it was midrange stars or long range shooters, plenty of guys showed they can knock down shots. Here were a few guys from the class of 2020 & 2021.
Connor Maciag (Pickerington Central)- 2020- Maciag had incredible range throughout the morning session pulling up from all over the 3 point arc. Unfortunately, an ankle injury ended his morning prematurely, but Connor still asserted himself as one of the top shooters present.
Simon Blair (South Central)- 2020- Simon had one of the prettiest midrange shots all morning. He especially dominated off the screen and nearly every shot he attempted went in. He can play either the 1 or 2 and will continue to be a dominant player moving forward.
Derek Eddings (LaSalle)- 2020- Not only is Derek a lockdown defender, but he showed he can knock down the 3 point ball on a consistent basis. Standing at 6’1”, Derek wasn’t afraid to either attack the rim using his size or settling for a nice jump shot.
Grant Knapke (Fort Recovery)- 2020- Grant had a dagger of a 3 point shot all day, especially on the wings. He excelled especially in catch-and-shoot situations and used his good ball-handling in situations where he couldn’t get a wide open shot.
Jhaiden Wilson (Cardinal Stritch)- 2021- Jhaiden may have been one of the smaller players on the court, but he had some of the biggest shots of the day. Able to pull up as far as NCAA range, Jhaiden might have been the most consistent shooter all session and the scary part is he’s only a sophomore.
