Top 250 Expo: Southeast Ohio Prospects
This week, we will highlight the top players from each region of Ohio, in an effort to show love to the prospects who had memorable performances at last Saturday’s Top 250 Expo.
Caiden Smith (2018), 6’0” G, Tippecanoe
Smith is an effective scorer from all three levels. During the 1-on-1 drills, Smith showed the ability to rip through or hit jumpers with just a smidgen of separation. After showing off the scoring ability in skill development, Smith facilitated from the point guard spot.
Brandon Noel (2020), 6’6” F, Chillicothe
Noel has some upside as a stetch-4 prospect. Clearly, Noel has the size at 6’6”. Also, the big man shoots the three-point shot extremely well off the catch. He combined a consistent jump shot with strong rebounding skills.
Austin Webb (2021), 6’1” G, South Point
Webb’s body is far behind his level of skill, which is a compliment to how well he played on Saturday. He’s a smooth lefty who scored from all three levels. The only thing holding Webb back was his lack of strength, which, again, will be taken care of if he applies himself in the weight room during high school. Expect him to score a lot of points at the high school level.
