Top 250 Expo – Session #2
Standout Wings
Conner Bedwell – 6’0” | Fort Wayne Northrop | Class of 2020
Conner Bedwell is an undersized wing that brings strength and energy to his teams. He likes to work fifteen feet and in while mixing it up on the backboards. He is tenacious when he attacks the glass and is a player that has the intangibles that coaches love. Bedwell can put it on the floor with straight line drives to the basket and has the ability to stretch the floor on occasion with the long ball.
Isaac Farnsworth – 6’2” | Fort Wayne Snider | Class of 2020
Isaac Farnsworth may have been the best communicator throughout the entire expo this past weekend. He continually encourages guys to get after it on defense and to make plays on offense. Farnsworth is mature beyond his years and that carries over to his dominance of games. Isaac is a long wing that thrives attacking the basket but shot the ball at an extremely high rate from deep at the expo. One of the top sophomores to keep an eye on in the Fort Wayne area.
Rich Gross – 6’1” | Fort Wayne Carroll | Class of 2020
Rich Gross is a defend first kind of player and proved to be one of the better defenders at the expo. He can guard opposing forwards on the block with his quick feet and competitive spirit. He battles on both backboards for position and took a few charges on Saturday. Rich dives on the floor for loose balls, is the first to pick up fallen teammates, and encourages guys on the bench to stay engaged in the games. Slashing wing that likes the pull up jumper.
Donovynn Lewis – 6’1” | Fort Wayne New Haven | Class of 2020
Donovynn Lewis is a slashing wing that has length and athleticism to finish in the lane. Lewis is also a hard-nosed defender that protects the rim well with his timing. He gets out in passing lanes and likes to get up the floor in transition for easy finishes at the rim. Donovynn’s jumper has shown improvement but is still an area that he is working on. His ball handling is tighter to his body which helped him get by defenders at the expo.
Justin Long – 6’3” | Fishers | Class of 2020
Justin Long is a wing that has good length and athleticism attacking the basket. He was more aggressive than others going to the rim and used that to his advantage. He rebounds well for a wing and likes to lead the break after pulling in the defensive rebound. Long hit a few jumpers, enough for the defense to respect him, but really impressed finishing at the rim.
Derek Peterson – 6’1” | Center Grove | Class of 2020
Derek Peterson is an active wing that looks to get everyone involved on the offensive end. He cuts ad screens to get others open and was the beneficiary of some easy baskets because of it. He creates spacing on the floor and rotates to the open space on the floor correctly. He catches the ball with his feet set ready to shoot and knocked down some open jumpers at the expo.
