Program MVP: George Conditt
Who was the MVP of each grassroots team program this past spring and summer? This might not necessarily be the best player although in many cases it is. We are looking at the player from Illinois that elevated their game and stepped up when it mattered most taking both themselves and their teams to the next level.
The program MVP for Team RWA was another one that was pretty cut and dry as a clear choice. This is a program and especially 17U group that saw a lot of success on the circuit this spring and summer. A major reason for that was the emergence of Corliss 2018 post George Conditt. The skilled 6’9” post went from complete unknown to a high-major recruit in a matter of a couple months. I’d say that fits the bill for program MVP. He brought more notoriety and star power to this program as well. Conditt is a long and lanky post that runs the floor tremendously well. He is face up five man that can handle the ball on the perimeter, make pull up jumpers, and is a force blocking shots. Conditt is a high-major recruit.
He was a beast beating his opponent down the floor for transition dunks at the PrepHoops Battle at the Lakes. Long strides allow him to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Offensively he is most comfortable facing up and attacking. Can handle it a little getting to the rim in a couple strides. Jump shot was off early, but he got it rolling later in the game with a wing three and a pull up jumper. Quality moves in the post, but lacks the strength to finish sometimes. Rebounded well using his go go gadget arms to snatch boards out of others hands. Defensively he was a monster. His length allows him to contest and even block three point shots. Changes the game as a rim protector down low too.
Congrats to Corliss 2018 center George Conditt on winning the PrepHoopsIllinois Program MVP for Team RWA.
