Prep Hoops Missouri Top 250 Expo: Class of 2020 Forwards
Here is a look at the top Class of 2020 forwards from last weekend’s Prep Hoops Missouri Top 250 Expo in St. Louis:
Cole Miller 6’5″ St. Mary’s: A very skilled combo forward who has excellent size and showcased a versatile set of talents, such as shooting, passing and ball handling. He is long and covered a lot of ground on the drive, plus he showed the ability to finish around the rim. He is a very good 3-point shooter off the catch, which also sets up his ability to put the ball on the floor.
Breven McMullen 6’5″ Park Hills Central: An excellent Stretch 4 prospect who shot the ball well from 3-point range throughout the day. He has good size, good hands and also rebounds the ball well. He has also improved his overall athleticism as he threw down a couple of nice dunks, including one on the back end of a coast to coast drive.
Darian Smith 6’3″ MICDS: A physically strong and aggressive young forward who showcased a power game around the rim with several dunks on the day. He rebounds well and blocks a lot of shots for his size. Very high motor. Has a nice 12 to 15 footer off the bounce in which he gets high elevation on his shot.
Jeffrey Reed 6’3″ Hazelwood Central: An very athletic and active wing forward who was always in attack mode throughout the camp. He did a nice job of getting to the basket off the bounce and finishing at the rim, whether it was a layup or a short jumper. He has a high motor on both ends of the court.
Andrew Schwarting 6’5″ Saxony Lutheran: A young combo forward who did some very nice things on offense during the expo. He showed some aggressiveness around the basket and can score in traffic. He could also step out and knock down perimeter jumpers.
Luke LeQuette 6’4″ Herrin: A bouncy young forward who plays with a lot of effort with his rebounding and hustle plays. He has a good skill set to go along with it as he knocked down jumpers and displayed good ball handling ability.
Evan Schneider 6’5″ Ladue: A blue collar power forward who was aggressive and played with a lot of energy around the basket. He did a very good job of posting up strong and establishing his position inside. He finished well with both hands and scored on many offensive put-backs on the boards.
