Prep Hoops Kansas Top 250 Expo: Class of 2019 Guards over 6’0”
Here are some of the top bigger 2019 guards who competed at last weekend’s Prep Hoops Expo in Overland Park, Kansas.
6’3” Levi Braun from Hayden Catholic is a big guard who can and likes to impose his size on smaller guards. Levi has a quick first step and can score by getting to the bucket or hitting shots beyond the perimeter.
6’2” Drew Hubbel from Blue Valley North shoots the ball from deep pretty well. Drew is a hustler all around the court. He’s a quick guard who gets steals and a leader on the floor.
6’4” Jacob Coleman from Basehor-Linwood is quick for a big guard. Jacob likes to run the floor and get easy buckets, but also has a great outside shot. With his size he is able to pull up and get good looks pretty much whenever he wants. He’s also very talented at finding his open teammates.
6’2” Kobe Sifford from Basehor Linwood was one of the better shooters at the expo. If Kobe was left open, he was knocking down the 3. Although, Sifford can shoot the ball, he can also make the extra pass if needed.
6’2” Nolan Veenis from Maize South was one of the harder workers at the Expo. He was very versatile and quick for his size. Nolan hit plenty of jumpers, but also got to the bucket pretty easily. He also ran the court very well and has a soft touch around the rim.
