Prep Hoops Kansas Top 250 Expo: 2018 Wings
Here is a look at the top Class of 2018 wings from last weekend’s Prep Hoops Kansas Top 250 Expo in Kansas City:
Wings
Tyon Grant, 6’5, SF, 2018, Schlagle
(PICTURED) At 6’5, 175-pounds, Grant is a long, rangy wing player with a smooth game. He can handle the ball, shoot from the outside and gets to the rim. On Saturday, he had it all working early as he and Rockhurst 2019 Daylan Ridgnal had a spirited battle. Grant knocked down five 3-pointers in the contest and finished with 27. Grant impresses at the defensive end with his ability to block shots and stand his ground around the basket. He’s one of the more intriguing prospects in the 2018 class in Kansas.
RJ Haberer, 6’2, F, 2018, Sylvan-Lucas Unified
Haberer is a strong, physical player with a big frame and a willingness to work hard in the paint. Is a good, all-around athlete who rebounds and move well.
Krys Johnson, 6’4, F/G, 2018, Ottawa
Johnson is a versatile performer who brings terrific size to the court. Is coming off a terrific offseason. Is a nice inside-outside player with the ability to make plays off the bounce, likes to post up big in the paint and is a good rebounder. Is a versatile defender who uses his body well to shield off opponents who look to drive.
Terrion Seddens, 6’2, F, 2018, Van Horn (Mo.)
Seddens is a consumate garbage pail-type player, willing to do the dirty work in the paint and get easy buckets by outworking opponents. He did a good job of making himself available on dives to the basket when his guards drove to the basket and got dump off passes and offensive rebounds for buckets. He should be an impact player at Van Horn this season.
Others
Jake Thompson, 6’4, F, 2018, Burlingame (Kan.)
Joell Wilson, 6’3, F, 2018, Van Horn (Mo.)
