Prep Hoops 250 Expo : Stock Risers
Prep Hoops 250 Expo this past weekend when off without a hitch this past Sunday at the Myrtle Beach Sports Center. Prep Hoops takes a look at some players that saw there stock rise from the 2018 class with solid play this weekend.
Ahkeem Lawson (2018) – Lakewood HS (Sumter) (pictured on front)
Lawson just keeps getting better and better the past year. Lawson left-handed post player finished everything around the basket today with his soft touch. Lawson unofficial had 32 points in the last game of day with him just missing 2 shots from the floor.
Lawson carves out space in the paint and did a few times in some short corner jumpers. Lawson never rushed his shot all day long.
Jamonty Williams (2018) – Wilson HS (Florence)
Williams 6’7 recently picked up a scholarship offer from Francis Marion University and Lees-McRae College (NC). Williams finished with authority today in the post. Williams with a long wingspan has great length to alter shots on the defensive end. Williams stepped out and knocked down 15-17 footers on the perimeter.
Williams never took a play off today and better yet showed a tremendous attitude on the floor and on the bench.
Kendrell Generette (2018) – Socastee HS (Myrtle Beach)
Generette a wing player has the ability to attack the rack or hit the mid-range jumper. Generette always seems to be in the right position on the floor. Generette stalked the baseline a few times to today with finishes at the cup.
Anthony Flagler (2018) – Eau Claire HS
Flagler is a interesting prospect. Flagler 6’8 recently arrived at Eau Claire HS after attending Keenan HS last season. Flagler likes to play on the perimeter and handle the ball whenever possible. Flagler tries to block everything and leaves his feet alot of the times. Flagler can step-out to three point range but needs to be more consistent with his shot.
Terence Mack (2018) – Trinity Byrnes (Darlington)
Mack 5’10 left-handed guard really excels in the open floor. Mack recently transferred over to Trinity Byrnes after playing the past 3 seasons at Hartsville HS. Mack connected on several three pointers from the corners. Mack is currently football for the Titans. as a running back.
Samuel Stroman (2018) – Westwood HS
Stroman was a pleasant surprise today in the camp. Stroman didn’t play as a junior at Westwood HS. Stroman 6’5 post player drew contact in the paint and never backed down. Stroman rebounded the ball on both ends of the floor.
