Prep Hoops is going to take a look at the All-Small Town Team in this article. Players in this article come from towns less than 1,000 people.
Tyson Bettis (2018) – Ridge Spring-Monetta HS (Ridge Spring) (pictured on front)
Bettis is a great athlete for the Trojans. Bettis 6’0 is the quarterback of the football team and the leader on the hardwood. Bettis averaged 14 ppg and 5 rebounds last season. Bettis was a All-State performer last season.
Bettis hit some mid-range jumpers today and included some strong finishes at the basket.
Effix Miller (2018) – Swansea HS
Miller really attacked the basket well today. Miller averaged 20.5 ppg and 7.5 rebounds last year at Swansea HS. Miller who can shoot the 3 ball played AAU with the Karolina Khaos this summer. Miller has a strong frame and uses his body well to get to the basket.
Roderick Pam (2018) – Bethune-Bowman HS (Rowesville)
Pam 6’0 guard ran the offense today well in a half court set. Pam got shifty with the ball few times and made some crisp passes. Pam will look to lead the Mohawks this coming season as a senior.
Stephon Greene (2019) – Carver’s Bay HS (Hemingway)
Greene seems to be growing still and it showed today. Greene is currently playing wide receiver for the Bears on the gridiron. Green really works both ends on the glass. Greene 6’5 (220) finished around the cup today before getting injured late in the day at the event. Greene has started to fill out body wise the pass year or so.
Carver’s Bay HS is located in the Choppee Community roughly 18 miles away from Georgetown, SC.
DeAndre Wilson (2019) – CE Murray HS (Greeleyville)
Wilson 5’10 guard got into the lane today and dished off to the open man. Wilson a undersized guard played very unselfish and knocked down some open looks from the perimeter.
