Palmetto State: Region 3-AAA Players to Watch

Shaundre Miller (2018) Chapman HS (Inman)
Miller is a 5’11 point guard that plays football and basketball. Miller is all over floor when he plays for the Panthers on the hardwood. Miller had 76 tackles and nine interceptions last year as a defensive back. Chapman won the state championship last season in football.
Zay Hurley (2018) Clinton HS (pictured on the front)
Hurley 6’4 power forward shoots the ball with both hands. Hurley will shoot his free throw left handed while the rest of the game he plays right handed. Hurley is a glass eater for the Red Devils.
Hurley averaged 11.7 ppg and 7.3 rebounds last season for the Red Devils. Hurley is one of two returning starting from a team that went to Upper State Championship Game against Southside.
Jahleed Cook (2018) Clinton HS
Cook 6’1 point guard that will be depend on to run offense this season. Cook would come off the bench last season for the Red Devils. Cook averaged 5.1 ppg last season. Cook will be other returning player for the Red Devils.
Keonta O’Fair (2018) Broome HS (Spartanburg)
O’Fair 6’5 combo forward for the Centurions averaged 8.8 ppg and 5.9 rebounds last season.
Khalil Stringer (2019) Broome HS (Spartanburg)
Stringer 6’0 point guard averaged 9.2 ppg and dished 3.4 assists last season for the Centurions. Stringer will look to take over more offense this season with Malik Wiles (2020) transferring to Legacy Early College
Aynsley Bowers (2019) Mid-Carolina (Prosperity)
Bowers 5’7 point guard. Bowers averaged 6.9 ppg, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists last season for the Rebels.
Nick Paul (2019) Newberry HS
Paul was hurt last season with a back injury. Paul 6’6 plays inside-out on the floor and is a tough kid.
Zay Chalmers (2020) Newberry HS
Chalmers 6’3 will make the conversion to the small forward spot this coming season. Chalmers played in the post last season at the center spot. Chalmers is starting to shoot the 3 ball now with some confidence.
Tyreik Priestley (2021) Newberry HS
Priestley 6’6 post player plays hard around the rim and will draw contact. Priestley plays with high motor inside the paint. Priestley played for Carolina Blazers this past summer. Priestley is just 14 years old and wears a size 17 shoe. Priestley is currently playing football.
