Palmetto State : 2019 State Rankings
Prep Hoops SC has 116 players this season in the new 2019 rankings. The 2019 class in the Palmetto is loaded with talent. Very deep class of future college basketball players here.
Christian Brown remains #1 after holding that honor last season. Brown this off season transferred over to nearby Lower Richland HS. Brown played this summer with Game Elite 2019 on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit.
Josiah James had a great season and even a better AAU campaign with TMP. James helped TMP finish 2nd in Orlando, FL this past July at the AAU Super Showcase. James moves up to #2 in the rankings. James helped the Porter Gaud Cyclones win there 2nd straight SCISA 3-A State Championship this past March.
Juwan Gary 6’8 holds down the #3 in the 2019 class. Gary a fixture at Gray Collegiate Academy since his freshman season played AAU with Team United.
DJ Burns is back at York Prep for Head Coach Frank Hambrick. York Prep added talented guard Deuce Dean this off season. Dean a transfer from Dutch Fork HS holds down the #6 slot.
Malcolm Wilson picked up interest from Clemson, South Carolina and Virginia Commonwealth this past spring and summer. Wilson 6’11 center plays at Ridge View HS. Wilson holds down the #5 slot.
Calvin “CJ” Felder plays at Sumter HS for Head Coach Shawn Jones. Felder had a solid summer playing with Brown on Game Elite 2019 on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit. Felder comes in at #7 in the 2019 class.
Tre Jackson, Zeb Graham and Mikey Dukes round out the Top 10 in the 2019 class. Jackson has picked up interest from Southern Mississippi and Coastal Carolina this summer.
Graham 6’1 point guard plays at Nation Ford HS. Graham ran AAU with Team Charlotte.
Dukes a bruising running back on the gridiron has received offers from South Carolina, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Georgia State all have offered Dukes. Clemson, Duke, Georgia, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech all are showing interest in the running back. Dukes ran for 2,262 yards last season and 38 touchdowns to help First Baptist win the SCISA 2A State Championship.
